JET SETTING........ A Corporate Flight Attendant's Travel Blog
ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Kimberlyn Allen and I've been a corporate flight attendant for the last 13 years. I live in Los Angeles (La La Land...as I like to call it). I love my job!! I get to travel around on private jets with some amazing people, best of all I get paid to do it and see the world!!! Those interested can view my complete personal profile at facebook.com.
When I'm not flying, I like to volunteer my time to several amazing charities here in LA. The first is Meals-on-Wheels. Sister Alice Quinn, founded the St. Vincent meals-on-wheels in 1977 and she and her staff are true angels. This organization provides hot meals to home bound elderly people 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I've been priviledged to deliver meals since my college days at UCLA. To learn more or to donate view the website at www.stvincentmow.org
I'm also a CASA volunteer, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. I assist CASA in providing advocacy for childen in the LA foster care system. The training is rigorous but worth every minute of it when you get your case(s). I advocate for foster youth and hold education rights over the youth I'm assigned to. To learn more about this fantastic organization and how you can get involved go to www.casa-la.org.
Hobbies include: reading, hiking, tennis and golf (which I'm still awful at even with all the lessons)

I'm also passionate about Food on Foot, a non-profit that assists the homeless in LA in becoming productive members of society again. The founder, Jay Goldberg is an amazing human being. He gives up not only his paycheck, but his time and resources to feed the homeless every weekend since 2002. Please check out the website at www.foodonfoot.org to learn more about this grass roots organization that is changing lives, one person at a time. It's a prime example of how one person can truly make a difference in bettering our world. Check out the videos too!
